Much better than messing around with bare wires

To save money, I used to buy standard speaker cable and just screw the cable into the appropriate connector. This creates a mess over time and does not allow easy detachment. These banana-tipped speaker cables are just the ticket. I had to drill out the center of my Onkyo terminals but I think they were designed for that. The sound is great and only time will tell if they hold up. At this stage I will buy again.

Great deal on a great product.”

My high quality speakers are starting to crackle. After checking online or being advised of this, I swapped the wires. The ones I used were expensive large caliber brands from a major retailer. I wanted to use alligator clips but didn't want to attach them myself. This is compliant. They fixed the popping noise and the cleanliness was so noticeable I thought the noise was coming from behind me. The bottom line is that they are durable, work FANTASTIC and are inexpensive. I went further and got…

You need a job! - Speaker wire

The speaker wire itself is good, the problem is how they inserted the speaker wire into the banana plugs. All they did was make it wide hoping it stays good which it doesn't and it will give you an awful connection. I have personally taken them apart and rebuilt them, they are properly boxed inside so you know they will never move. You'll understand what I'm talking about when you remove the banana plugs yourself. Plus, they're good enough for any speaker wire you'll ever need. Don't waste your

Connection not possible because additional cables are required

Dear Hauppauge - LAME! It would be nice if you could indicate somewhere that this does NOT include everything you need to connect. You will need (1) RCA male-to-male cables for audio, and if you want to use an S-Video connection for the best transmission quality, you will need an S-Video male-to-male cable. This thing has a female S-Video connector. What can not be connected with anything! Very annoying, now I have to order a damn S-Video cable. That's at least another $8-12 for a decent one…

If you need cheap cables like the ones I use they will get the job done and get music to speakers (or other devices). . Are they quality? no In fact, their ends were unscrewed and they were very loose when delivered. When I unscrewed the ends, the end of the cable was barely pressed against the connector. No soldering, no side/set screws to hold the cable's copper at the end. Pretty cheesy. Also, the cable jacket is much smaller than the plugs, so it just hangs around in the end plug. I'm…

Last minute decision!

At the last moment I decided to buy another cable for the center channel. This is the shortest length in my build so I chose 12ft to be a good length. This is a plain black jacket with a simple cable design and fine workmanship. The boot works well with it and all the ends are heat shrinkable. Again this is a different cable which allows me to distinguish it from others on the back of my system and the cable flexes and lays fairly well too. This is a CL2 type wall and you can buy recycled foil…

But good for the price.

These banana cable plugs are definitely worth their price, but there is one caveat: these banana plugs are wider than the holes for mounting speakers, amplifiers, etc. Therefore, they must be real ones Use force to insert them into the clamps. This should work most of the time as long as you're not constantly plugging and unplugging them. As for the contact: it's very simple, the speaker wire is inserted into the back of the connector and not clamped by any set screws. . I have no idea of their

You get what you pay for. Exactly.

Let's face it, copper costs money. Extra pure copper. How do you think Revain comes at such a low price? Using the cheapest Chinese manufacturers, recycled copper and specified copper on aluminum (CCA). So. The copper content in these cables should not exceed 25 cents. (Must keep Mr. Bezos happy, right?) I swapped them out for 12AWG Bluejean solid copper wire and immediately noticed a treble improvement on my Sonus Faber bookshelf speakers. Granted, the speakers are only $2,000 so aren't…
