I bought these to replace the factory nuts on my Ford F150 pickup. After I had a flat tire and realized the wrench that came with it didn't fit the factory nuts, which aren't worth a damn, I bought them. The problem with factory nuts is that they are coated in chrome or aluminum or whatever and they break when you put a wrench on them. The wrench didn't even fit up to the nuts and when I tried to turn them the wrench slipped, twisted the protective cover and slipped off. I completely ruined one of the nuts and scratched and crushed the rest. So I bought them to avoid shell nuts and also bought a deep well base to set them properly. Ford should get rid of them and use them. That or put a wrench that fits right! These are solid chrome nuts that fit perfectly.
