Review on π§ Enhance Precision and Performance with 8MILELAKE Camshaft Alignment VANOS Timing Locking Tool Kit for BMW M60/M62 by Johnny Moger
Worked fine for my E53 M62TU engine but you may need to purchase another VANOS socket.
With this set I was able to measure the timing on my E53 M62TU after changing the timing chain. Pros: - Works! My M62TU works like a dream after restoring it with this tool. - Gets the job done at a fraction of the cost of the German Auto Solution M62 kit. - Reasonable quality plastic case keeps it clean. Cons: - vanos solenoid bushing doesn't fit - it's a bad tool. I had to buy another tool to tighten the new solenoids with a torque wrench. However, it is possible to time the clock without an outlet if you don't need to change/clean the solenoids. - A top chain tensioner retaining clip is broken as per other reviews. You can still finish the work with the remaining clip.
