I have used Yetti drums almost exclusively for many years. I risked it and was very satisfied. I usually fill mine about 3/4 full with ice. Most of the ice will melt within the first hour, but some stubborn chunks will remain. I left it on the counter all weekend, and on the third day I opened it and found a small piece of ice still hanging. I couldn't believe it. The water was still cold! This bottle keeps water cold much longer than necessary. I've washed all the pieces in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues with peeling/color fading or melting of the straws and lid. Everything is well preserved. To be honest I was so impressed that I put another one in my husband's shopping cart. I've only used this for cold water so can't comment on how well it handles hot liquids. I noticed that when the lid is closed, water flows out of the mouthpiece. I have to turn it completely inside out for that to happen, but it's still not 100% leakproof. Overall I am more than satisfied with this purchase. You can't beat the price for this kind of performance. I think it's as good as my $60 Yetti mugs!
