Review on πŸ“ Raspberry Pi Serial Expansion HAT with SC16IS752, 2-ch UART, 8 GPIOs, and I2C Interface, Stackable up to 16 Modules for 32-ch UART by Jesus Cordova

Works for me for motherboards

I need (wanted) to have RealTimeClock and GPS with PPS for a time server on the same Raspberry Pi, but found that everyone wants to use those first few pins and UART on the number of pi used to something else. It fit the bill but I was a little put off by the bad review but figured I'd give it a try anyway. After looking at the gps documentation focused on uart pi and the baud rate in that device documentation was directed to setting the baud rate in code (python or c) I thought I had a problem but the google machine had a solution. By adding: console=ttySC0,9600 to /boot/config.txt along with other documented lines I was able to connect to GPS with one of the uarts on this board just fine. I was happy to see GPIO "pins" available, but that would require soldering.
