Bought this sink in 2012. After 6 years of daily use, it looks like new. Here's the kicker. There is a steel guard that has some plastic pins to separate it from the bottom of the sink. After 6 years of use two pins broke and had to be removed resulting in metal to metal contact with the base. I emailed Kraus USA and explained the problem. They responded immediately, sending a whole set of pens to redesign the entire screen. They arrived a few days later and now the sink is perfect again. It's rare to find a product that lasts as long as this one without signs of wear and tear and such maintenance. Seriously consider working with this company if you are planning to buy a sink.
