This is my second use of these screws. I installed all of the new cabinets in my garage using the first drawer and was so impressed with the strength and ease of tightening these screws that I have purchased more for future projects. The large cabinets are off the floor and are made of 3/4 inch melamine which is very heavy. Now I have cabinets full of wood and finishing materials (I'm a woodturner) and there's no sign of the screws failing. You can drill a pilot hole if you'd like, but they are self-adhesive. You grab the bolt and go in very gently, using the included screwdriver and a good drill motor and not only do these screws support very heavy cabinetry, they also have a blackened brass finish so they look really nice once installed.
