Review on Powerful Intel Core i9-10900K Desktop Processor: 10 Cores, 5.3 GHz, Unlocked, LGA1200 (Intel 400 Series Chipset), 125W by Jnis Ginters ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Blue has the fastest percentage among desktop systems. When you unlock power consumption, you get the fastest processor you can afford to buy at least somehow if you do not print money (the current price tag for the 5950x is around 90k). I don't know about the 5th series chipsets, but in this case you also exclude some dances with a tambourine that you will get in the opposite camp (I'm talking about the 3rd series of competitor's chipsets, which I owned). I’ll add a little: It’s quite difficult to choose a mother for this percentage, especially if you are not going to make it limited-fit for work by holding down “electricity”, then you need to find something else that will give it the current strength it needs at the peak, which, with a power consumption of 280W (someone this also speaks of 300W, but I didn’t manage to load it like that, and at 1.24 volts the current strength will be a little less than 300A of power only for the processor, I don’t remember the exact values) and despite the fact that all the boards on the Z490 known to me will calmly give out to the processor such a power supply, do not forget that when approaching the limit, the temperatures on the VRM rise, ripples appear and stability is lost in general, so you also need to think about this and study the materials carefully.

Pros
  • Fastest (in the blue camp) It costs much less than the top of the reds for January 2022 (losing in terms of performance)
Cons
  • Hot Not up to 5950x Expensive
