After deciding I needed a duvet cover, I spent hours (literally hours) trying to find one I liked. I thought my requirements (white, simple looking, and cotton or linen material) would give me many great affordable options, but I quickly realized that solid white cotton duvet covers with good reviews for less than $80 are hard to come by are. . It was definitely a shocking moment. This duvet cover has all the "qualities" I was looking for. I especially like that it's white and not decorated with stupid bobbles/lace/ruffles etc. The cotton is very light. It's a bit rougher, but it's pure/raw cotton for you and I'm here for it! I wouldn't call it "prickly" or uncomfortable at all. My only complaint is that the cotton is thin so the color of the fabric changes depending on what you have underneath/inside. Just as my pillows are white, the pillowcases are also quite bright white when placed on top of my pillows. But my comforter is light purple and is sticking out through the bedspread making my duvet cover look very pale purple. Which is disappointing. So if you are looking for a set of bedspreads that will add a nice bright white color to your bedroom, I would only recommend this if you already have a white bedspread.
