I ordered these brown filters. I used to use a stainless steel filter but wanted to try something different mostly for cleaning. Taking a paper filter and tossing it in the compost seemed like a much better idea than scraping the stainless steel thick, rinsing it, and then putting it in the dishwasher. I read that some reviews said the coffee had a flavor when using filters so I wanted to try and see for myself. So I took two mornings and used everything the same, coffee and everything, down to the same cup. Coffee brewed through this filter naturally has an additional foreign taste. I doubt I'll take the time and energy to return them for the price. But I won't use them.
