Review on Concord Blades WCB0650T060HP General Purpose by Steven Harper

This is an excellent blade for the Makita XPS01Z chainsaw (and corded SP6000J) but there is a small problem. You will need to replace your existing 20mm inner flange with the 5/8" inner flange (Makita 224411-7) used on many other Makita LXT circular saws such as the Makita XSH03Z (there are too many compatible models to list list here). This part is available here at Revain and many online power tool part sellers, and for about $12 including shipping you can get an inner flange plus a replacement outer flange (Makita 224409-4) and cap screw). -0); See the attached photo for more information on these Makita parts. Of course, this blade will work seamlessly with any 6-1/2" circular saw with a 5/8" shank, regardless of manufacturer. With the exception of the recently introduced existing and new Makita chainsaws, as well as the DeWalt DW5258, this is the only 165mm diameter finishing saw blade (48 teeth and up) at a price that beats all the others (and yes, DeWalt blades and high quality Makita Blades Made in China Premium 40-tooth cross-section blades such as Freud Diablo D0641X, Makita T-01410 and others with 165mm diameter and 5/8" shank are not included.) 20mm mandrel) 160mm diameter are on the Market including Festool 495377, Freud LU79R006M20 and Oshlun SBFT-160048 The 165mm size is important for Makita chainsaws as this diameter is needed for the 3mm notching feature which is activated with a special depth gauge to prevent chipping or to avoid chipping on the top.(Festool saws use an additional splinter guard attached to the outside of the saw blade to achieve the same purpose.) With a saw With a 160 mm diameter blade (in this case Freud LU79R006M20) you can make an acceptable cut by gently pressing on it. pressure when cutting; The right hand is pressing on the blade guard and the left hand is best pushing the saw forward for consistent results. This ATB blade has a measured kerf of 1.95 mm (0.077 inch or approximately 5/64 inch). with a saw blade thickness of 1.62 mm (0.064 inch or about 1/16 inch). Coming from an easy-to-open package, it is very sharp, runs straight and accurate, and runs smoothly with no vibration. In terms of cut quality, perhaps the ultimate test of a fine saw is being able to cut melamine without chipping the surface, and this is where the Concord blade passes with flying colors after a quick pass. Even without scratches, the chips are minimal, like the Freud LU79R006M20. The Concord requires slightly more force than the Freud blade when cutting 3/4" melamine, most likely due to the higher number of teeth (60 versus 48) and the fact that it is not coated like the Freud's . The thickness of the saw blade is almost the same for both blades. While no test cuts have been made on hardwood or softwood, this blade should make comparable cuts without chipping (although there are better 6-1/2-inch blades made specifically for ripping). Finesse, like the excellent 6-1/2-inch Freud LU79R006M20, you can buy 4 of these for the price of 1 Freud but still have money to spare. The same goes for Makita's other recently introduced premium chainsaws; We're talking 6-1/2 inch saws that range in price from $45 to $60. or even more, assuming you can find them online. So let's put that price in perspective. For about $60 you can buy this saw blade and a premium 10 inch 90 or even 100 tooth Freud Diablo table saw blade. Sounds like a simple solution.
