SMOKE AFTER APPROX. 15 MINUTES ON FIRST USE! THEN LET GO! IT IS NOT BROKEN AND NOT DEFECTIVE! THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WITH NEW DEVICES! I feel like you need to have a bit of experience to know this and understand multi cookers. This is not a miracle pot, people still cook in it. You still have to be careful now and then, measure the time, stir the food so that it doesn't stick, etc. like everything else in the world that is cooking. This original slow cooker is easy to use with 4 easy settings: off, low, hot and warm. No annoying number keys and everything else. it's just more to break. Just better and this slow cooker is AMAZING. Cleans super easily. EXCELLENT PURCHASE! Always use 8 liters as it gives you the freedom to cook more if needed.
