I hired a plumber to replace a leaking toilet valve. The plumber gave me the gasket part number so I could order it and he installed it in my area on his next job. I found a great price and bought two seals from the AMAZON website. The plumber arrived today but he couldn't install the gasket. I was told that I ordered the correct part number but only the rubber part of the seal arrived. it was missing the brass threaded insert that had to be cast into the seal. Now I have to order another filling from an authorized dealer. My $10 seal replacement now costs TWO plumbing trips to my area. Lesson learned: When a standard part arrives, apparently repackaged from an online retailer, beware!
