The description only had a picture of a gorgeous charcoal gray and turquoise throw with accent pillows, and that's exactly what I wanted my bedroom to look like. I have a charcoal gray upholstered bed frame/headboard and bought charcoal gray sheets to match the gray duvet exactly and was very glad they would arrive. And then it came, I pulled it out and found it. White. White fabric duvet backs and pillowcases. Not only would it be very difficult to keep clean, but in all that dark gray light, sudden flashes of white would be blinding. And while you can hide it long enough for, say, an image like this list, you can't hide it in day-to-day use. It was very, very disappointing because otherwise it was a great set. Two other things I want to point out: First, a decent number of reviews cite it as poorly made with threads all over it. When I examined it, there were indeed many loose threads. However, on inspection it turned out that the assembly was just poor/sloppy threading and not actual structural deformation. I'm not an expert so I can't say with 100% certainty, but I thought so. I think if I kept it I would cut all the threads and I think everything would be fine. I didn't wash it and didn't use it at all once I saw the back was white but that was my impression. Secondly, another review found that a series of randomly sewn threads of different colors were sewn around the entire perimeter. a place the reviewer felt for poor craftsmanship and shoddy workmanship. At least some of the threads they showed in the photos were sewn on purpose to keep the filling in place when the duvet was washed (this is a fairly common thing that I've seen quite a bit when researching duvets ). Unfortunately for this reviewer, the threads were so poorly matched to the rest of the quilt. The spots I received were sewn like this, mostly with matching threads. most were dark gray and there were a few spots where it was light gray but nothing that stood out. I noticed that the filling didn't hold up very well at the edges. In my opinion, when washed, it would only wrinkle a little at the edges, as the filler was not sewn up at the edges, but only ended at the edge, but was loose there. I think after washing it could be smoothed out with a bit of work, but it would be better if it was actually sewn over the entire edge.
