Firstly, this is a rubber sleeve that is placed on top of a hard plastic sleeve. Remote (or key fob or whatever it's called) when your keys are in your pocket, this rubber sleeve prevents that from happening 90% of the time. I was accidentally bumped while my keys were in my pocket and found my trunk wide open while my car was parked outside. But since I received this rubber case, this has never happened to me. And I've had this rubber case for several years now and it's holding up. I am very happy with this purchase.
