I am new to woodturning. I didn't even touch the lathe until a week ago. After months of research, I decided to start my woodworking hobby idea and started uploading my shopping cart. Well, I decided to use carbide-tipped tools. I ordered a Delta 46-460 lathe, a Nova chuck and some safety gear to start this business and so far that's all I need. These tools were easy enough to learn how to use. As with anything, there is a learning curve. I've never touched turning tools in my life, and I've done some pretty amazing things for a legally blind newbie. Using these tools, I turned the 7 1/2" Chinaberry bowl and lid with no problem. Actually, it was the first object I tried to make. I'm very happy with their performance so far. I just ordered a thin diamond card to see if I can sharpen the tips if they get a little dull. If it works I'll consider my GOLD choice! Love them and would buy them again in a heartbeat. Place the tool stand right under the center of the work piece and keep the tools parallel to the ground and you will have something amazing. There are a few more tricks I could do but it would take too long to print. Definitely great tool at a fair price. I am glad I have Troy/49/Tx
