Great workstation/server board. Gigabyte was my new choice! 10920X + VROC + OC = BEAST MODE!

I used ASUS until I got fed up with the poor support and the constant struggle to fix defective products. They had decent quality but when it came to the fans their support was useless. I have over 20 years of computer experience, I don't need your help, I just need you to replace your poop. Gigabyte boards were reliable and overclocked for several months. Nothing beats 12 cores at 5 GHz at standard voltage. They get a bit warm under full load (in my case I use a Corsair Dual 140MM with 5 Noctua fans). At full speed, all air is blown out of the case in about 2 seconds. Fans are cheaper here than at Newegg. MUCH CHEAPER. Nothing to say except that the board is awesome and take the time to setup all the features worth it. I also use a cheap 700w PSU that doesn't even have EPS12v connectors. If you can get an EPS12v power supply, it will perform better. I am using Corsair DDR4000 Vengege RAM. Also, you will have a hard time overclocking RAM on ANY x299 chipset. This is because the memory controller resides in the processor. The newer i9 series has a 2933MHz memory controller and delivers better results. It LOVES low memory timings and you can overclock your RAM this way once you hit your ceiling. The board also comes with a 16x PCI-E M.2 4 drive adapter. Get at least 4 Intel 665p drives, they're not the best performers, but there's some good in them. $100 for a 1TB drive. You can use Keyless VROC and connect 4x 16x M.2 RAID0 directly to your CPU and have 4TB usable bandwidth of 8000MB/s. You can also use the onboard M.2 slots and add either your own 4x RAID or another RAID for storage. VROC is only available on i9 chips, which basically do not contain ECC XEONS. USE VROC! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE VROC! Get 4x Intel 665p drives, VROC doesn't really support 3rd party drives even with Premium KEY (I have one). I tried Samsung 970 Evo Plus, Gigabyte Aorus 1TB PCIE 4.0, WD Black SN750, nothing works. Intel drives aren't the fastest, but read the specs on them, they have some very unique features that you need.
