Defective: Part

After installing the CDI and coil the motorcycle was started and tested. Everything seemed fine. Until I turned it off and later tried to start it. It's not like this. The battery was dead. Strange. Researched and for some reason it drained the battery and fast. I don't know why but I put my old one back. Oh, and the wiring was messed up at the connector too
