Review on 🚗 STROMBERG CARLSON TR-1 Tire Carrier - Sturdy and Efficient by Ron Houston

I mounted it on a 4x4 bumper at the back of my fifth wheel. They are very stable, which is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1. My problem is that the vertical is too short for a 225/75/15 tire. The bottom of the tire is flush with the bottom of the bumper. Because the tire extends beyond the back of the bumper, therefore, when the bumper bottoms out, such as when crossing from a driveway to a gas station or on a rough dirt road, the tire hits the ground first, bending the lower lug bolt plate. and pull it through the big hole in the center of the wheel and bend the plate that the top wheel bolt attaches to (and possibly damage the wheel?) if the tire snaps backwards. For 225/75/15 I wouldn't buy it again. The tire they advertise was a test tire.
