Review on 20FTX10FT Gold Shimmer Sequin Fabric Photography Backdrop by Dennis Moonin

I finally splurged on this backdrop after fighting with wrinkled muslin or cheap 6 x 9 vinyl backdrops framed by curtains. I run a photo booth at various charity events that include everything from state legislators to a middle school dance. But let's be honest, I just wanted a gigantic wall of gold sequins at my disposal at all times!My Setup:In the attached photos, my backdrop stand is a cheap 10' limo kit from amazon, and I used a square perfect strobe/flash lighting setup and a hotshoe video LED light in a dark gym. My camera is a Canon T2i (don't judge me.it's all for charity!) The backdrop stand was definitely bowed in the middle from the weight of this, so you may want to consider investing in something more heavy duty.Weight: Overall, the backdrop has a good weight to it. It certainly isn't see through, but if there's ANY light behind it at all, I would use a muslin protector on the back.Quality: There were a few "bald spots" without sequins on mine, which is why I can't give it 5 stars. However, since I used the 20' wide drop on a 10' booth, I was able to just hide it in the folds. It does shed a bit when setting up and tearing down.Photographer notes: The only thing I noticed about the (gold) backdrop is that if your subjects stand too close, they end up yellow in the photos. I put a tape line about 2 feet in front of the backdrop and had people stand on it, which eliminated that problem.Ease of use: It takes two people to fold it, for sure, so be aware of that. The pole top also isn't reinforced with any interfacing, so there's a real danger of ripping it trying to get it on the pole. Just go slowly and you'll be fine.
