Update from 05/12/20. After 9 1/2 months it works great. In those months of daily use, when I turn it on more than once a day, my Windows 10 computers didn't recognize it once or twice, always after a Windows update. Disconnecting the USB cable (on the computer or on the KVM device) resolved the issue. The best part is that if I forget on CPU #2 and the next morning I boot CPU 1 without switching from CPU 2, CPU 1 recognizes the hotswitch device (tap Scroll Lock twice, then 1). It's been reliable for so long, so it probably will be reliable for a long time to come. let's hope Rating new condition 09/10/2019 The KVM switch arrived on Monday and I set it up on Tuesday morning. Works simply and beautifully. I just connected the cables which were recognized immediately. I use "Hotkeys" exclusively, but the touch keys work just fine too. I will review this unit again in a few months. I use it a lot and am very happy with it at the moment. Sturdy construction, good cables. Two Days Later: Windows 10 update often causes the updated Windows OS to no longer recognize the keyboard and/or mouse like it does today. Restarting Windows solved the problem. Same situation with my old Tripp-Lite which I threw away today.
