I'm an engineer and I'm often involved in construction projects. I also build in very sensitive areas, so most of the work has to be done in advance. Accurate measurements are required. After watching two engineers try to measure a 30 foot window with tape measures, I figured there must be a better way. It made all my measurements more accurate and reliable. I can't say I really like Bosch spatulas, but this thing really impressed me. Highly recommended for those with large projects that require precise measurements. In addition to measuring distances, it can: - act as a spirit level - calculate distances by measuring angles (like determining the height of a wall) - measure angles. I also used it as a laser pointer when I forgot mine for presentations. All in all, this is one of the most useful and proprietary tools in my tool belt.
