I bought these to pour the last bit of water out of my above ground pool that I got for the kids. The copper-brass primer shaker works perfectly. However, pressing the bulb is useless. It compresses and doesn't pop out to compress again unless I pull the suction end of the hose out of the water. Not enough force to pull water through hose. It works great for pumping air, but once the end of the hose is submerged it stops working. Very disappointed and now I would like to get one of the ones that has a hand pump (piston) instead of a squeeze bulb. Edit: Of course the lightbulb is pointing in the right direction - it has an arrow on it. This isn't rocket science. He's just wrong. I emailed to request a replacement and received a new unit from the manufacturer. This new bulb is harder to squeeze. I already installed the pool this year but this new bulb seems to be stronger. Upgrading my rating to 4 stars for good customer service.
