Bought 8GB green RAM sticks (2 x 4GB notebook-size DDR3 memory) for $37. The plan was to pop them into my old, almost dead, mostly unusable late 2008 MacBook. I also bought a cheap 256GB SSD to put in. The total purchase is about $70. The SSD has made a HUGE difference. As for RAM, the difference is negligible, but it improves my ability to open multiple tabs and still be stable. The memory cards arrived quickly, came in a nice secure box and were easy to install. So far they're working great. I will update this review if they stop working prematurely or cause problems.
