Bought two monitors. There are no dead pixels on a monitor, but colors appear washed out or too warm. The second monitor has a single dead pixel on the right edge of the screen, but the colors on this one are accurate. It's very disappointing that ASUS doesn't calibrate the panels and therefore we get different colors for two identical monitors. I spent several hours matching them up and it was only partially successful. I haven't decided yet whether to keep the monitors or not. I'm fine with a stuck pixel monitor as it doesn't bother me much. But inaccurate colors are definitely annoying. The irony is that even a color blind person like me can tell the difference. I suppose it will be much worse for people who are good with color. A temporary workaround I've found in some modes (like Standard and Dark) is to set the color temperature to "Custom Mode" and reduce the blue on my good monitor. up to 93 to correspond to a bad monitor - this corresponds to the same color temperature for white. In some modes, such as sRGB, there is a significant white difference between the two monitors and no adjustment has been able to fix this so far. Contact ASUS support, hopefully they can at least tell us how to make them identical. Other Notes: - Changed ports and cables to confirm that the problem is with the monitor itself and not parts or cables. - viewing angle is no problem, even tried changing monitor position - latest ASUS drivers installed and using this ICM profile - latest nVidia drivers installed - test used: white background in Chrome (amazon.com etc.) The stand is annoying . If you type too hard on a mechanical keyboard, there's a slight noticeable wobble. Height doesn't match. One of the monitors is slightly higher than the other. Also, one monitor is slightly higher than the other. The difference is small but noticeable.
