I think it's wise not to get too tall with those shims. That's an improvement, but not even comparable to real hidden lights with real light bulbs. Looks like a teaser but for now I'll use it even if it's a very small improvement. I rent my apartment and the cheap owners made a minimum of lighting and unfortunately I can't install and connect proper lighting because it's not my house. Brightness: Not as bright as everyone says in these reviews, but I think it's an improvement. The lights seem dim and not very bright even on the highest settings. Price: good price. Installation: OK, but if the thing falls there will be problems and I will charge the manufacturer for my mirror. Overall Rating: C
