For 3 years I swear the builder in this house didn't put any outlets on the three flights of stairs, they are dark, steep and slippery because of the carpet. Not to mention the cat that tries to "knock me out" in the mornings by lying down the length of the stairs when I come down with two dogs in my arms. Who can see the bloodthirsty little guy in the dark, not me, I think dogs can but they are in league with the cat to say the least. Now he chimed in, those lights are beautiful, the stairs are well lit, at 4:30 the conspirator of my downfall will be revealed. The stairs are well lit with only two of them about 8 inches above the step portion of the stairs. Perfect for lighting up an entire flight of stairs (8 to 10 steps per flight of stairs) and the cats will never do well. Bought a third set and will most likely be buying another one for the dark corner by the stairs before I'm done, they seem to hold a charge very well. I'm using the dim setting on auto, will come back to this review in a month or so two. To update the overview of the battery life between charges, the ladder is active with two dogs and pulls a cat.
