If your table top has some weight and you are trying to build a cheap table, buy better legs. If you ignore my warning, you will need another person to help you turn the table and keep it straight. In other words, don't strain the sides of your legs when flipping it over (a normal process for anyone). If you do this, the cheap threads will almost snap and, worse, the metal plate will buckle, reducing the depth required to grip the machine screw. Even if it were a successful setup, the fact that they don't have crossbars would make what you're building wobble. Even properly installed legs will magically unscrew themselves. So if you are confident in using them, you should at least consider some locks.
