Review on 🚲 GUB Bicycle & Motorcycle Phone Mount, Aluminum Bike Phone Holder with 360° Rotation for iPhone 11 12 Pro Max Mini X XR Xs 8 Plus, Samsung S20 S10 Note20/10/9/8 - Upgraded 4-7 Inch by Evan Hernandez

Almost perfect but lacks mounting options

After my plastic phone holder failed (until I luckily reached 50km/h) I figured my next holder should be made of a more durable material, preferably metal. I found this GUB mount and it looks perfect and most of the time it is. The mounting hardware is solid and clearly designed for durability and quality. The mount lacks any roughness and misalignment of many of the items sold on Revain (most are made in China). This mount doesn't appear to have been designed by just one engineer. The screw mount fits snugly over the phone case for a secure fit. I have a Note 9 and secured it in a plastic case. It fits with space to spare. The only complaint I have about the mount is that it comes with "one side fits all". Mounting parts that are not suitable for thicker pipes, e.g. B. a thicker stem or handlebars. Some mounts have adjustable mounting brackets that can accommodate a wider tube. If this mount came with one of these it would be a welcome improvement. The only thing worth noting is that the phone cannot be tilted forward or backward. Once tightened, it snaps and locks into place. This comes into play when the screen throws glare into your eyes - you can't adjust the tilt to deflect light the other way. It's not a big deal and I would have preferred a very secure phone mount. than a tilt mount that can fail. Overall I give this mount 4/5 stars. With more versatile mounting hardware, this would be 5/5. Some mounts have adjustable mounting brackets that can accommodate a wider tube.
