Better Shape and "Thinness "
The rounded shape and thin edge of these spatulas work well even with a small (9 inch) nonstick pan. The surface of rotation is a little less than 4.5. " wide and 4" deep. Because the rim of the turner is thin and the material smooth, I've found that larger eggs can be turned easily without damaging the yolk. Although they don't seem as strong as my old one Nylon lenos (which are over 20 years old)), they are very similar in size, shape and general functionality.
