This cam mount was designed to solve this near-universal mounting problem with a secure mechanical connection to the vehicle for those who have a rearview mirror stem attached to the windshield frame. This type of mount may not be ideal for vehicles that use adhesive to attach the mirror base to the windshield. Four stars because the product image incorrectly shows the position of the dash cam behind the mirror. The bracket and stem will not fit all the way under the mirror on most vehicles. Very easy installation, amazing set of cam attachments.
