I bought this in a lavender scent for an armchair. I shampooed the chair twice and the cigarette smell was still there so I decided to give it a try. I sprayed the fabric, didn't spray a bit, went all out. It smelled only of lavender and cigarettes. Didn't eliminate the smell at all. I even tried again a few days later and I had the same result. As a last try, I shampooed the chair a third time and sprayed it with Smoke Eater a third time. The results are the same. This will not remove the smoky smell from fabric chairs, and probably not from anything else either. Save your hopes and your money.
