There is nothing wrong with this product, it is very easy to install and looks good on my stairs. I used dark mode, now the light comes on automatically when climbing stairs, I just set the max lighting to 75%. Updated 6/23/19. My review. Below was my original question: I bought this a week ago, now the standby mode doesn't work. it's just dim, not completely dark, so energy is wasted all the time. Answer: Is the light weak during the day and night? If so, it's probably a software issue and you should contact the company. This was the problem I initially had and the company replaced my lamp.
