I bought this so I can close my bedroom door and the cats aren't blocked. I liked it because it was a soft plastic muffler meant to be less noisy than the one I have in my basement. It made a noise when the clasp was put back in place due to the magnet wiggling back and forth, but I just glued the magnet on and it works fine and makes almost no noise. It was very easy to install. This took about 20 minutes and half of that time was spent assembling the tools. I measured the template, traced around the outside, drilled holes in the four corners and cut out the hole with a saw. The cat lid fits in the hole, you tighten the screws and you're good to go.
