It was less than about 11 months and the rear bracket broke. After repeated attempts to claim a 5 year manufacturer's warranty, they finally sent me a mount to replace this defect. Well, after 2 months, after the holidays, I finally made an attempt to replace the bracket. The previous bracket was welded to the shaft and could not be removed. I spoke to Don at customer service for about 20 minutes about how to remove the previous braces and he tried to help. Impossible that this will be solved by hitting the inner tube with a socket like he suggested. My husband, a very skilled man, tried to follow Don's instructions using a large hammer and a lot of muscle power and he didn't move. Don made a good effort and then I asked if he would call me back in 15-20 minutes to see if we were successful. Never heard of him. For now, let's throw this shitty piece of chair in the trash can. Looks good but I find it dangerous because the rear mount is so cheap that someone could sit down and fall over completely when resting. Thanks Don for trying, but I will never buy a product from this company again. Read your 5 year guarantee. Bologna! This chair needed to be replaced as a whole, not the brace which is broken and cannot be removed. Disappointed
