Review on DLGJPA Drying Sports Lightweight Walking Men's Shoes in Athletic by Yousef Clark

Very comfortable but not durable and almost impossible to remove sand

The shoes were really comfortable. Easy to slip on and off, yet stays on your feet even in heavy surf on the beach. It also worked well for hiking in rainy, muddy weather. until it started falling apart. Unfortunately, the biggest downside is that it's not very durable. The inner mesh and lining were mostly destroyed after walking the gravel path when small stones put holes in the sole and tore the inner lining. Even smaller stones got stuck in the grooves of the shoe soles and formed a bump that you could feel with every step. Having to stop every 10 minutes to dig up a rock really ruins the walk/hike. After only 4 days on the beach, with some rocky shores and muddy forest trails, the shoes are pretty shabby and look like I've spent a year in them after 9000 miles. The shoes didn't dry very well either. Fast drying is claimed, but since the shoe is made of a material similar to braided nylon, braids absorb moisture through capillary action and appear only to hold it and not dry it out. Even leaving shoes in the sun wasn't that effective! And due to the constant humidity, it started to smell pretty quickly. Finally, it was very difficult to wash out the sand once it got into the shoes. There were so many little nooks and crannies to put grains of sand in that it was just ridiculous. At the end of a week long trip to the beach I just threw these shoes away.

Pros
  • If arch support isn't a concern, you're done.
Cons
  • Due to the limited breathability, the feet sweat excessively.
