Good flaring tool for the money

I used this tool to make a brake line to connect my master cylinder to the proportional valve. I don't know if I or the previous owner damaged the 7/16 - 24 tube nut. The damaged threads made installing the brake line to the master cylinder difficult. Tightened a good 3/16 - 24 tube nut in seconds. I bought a 3/16 inch brass tube at a hobby store and stuck one end into the tool. There were no instructions as to how much of the pipe should be above the instrument. I've tried two different heights with unsuitable dual flares. On the third try I got a well-formed double bell. It fits perfectly on the tube nut. The fourth time I also got a shapely double bell. for expanding brass tubing, I bought .028 gauge stainless steel tubing. I put the stainless steel tube in the torch and was able to make a nice double torch. I inserted the other end of the tube into the flare and twisted the handle. There was no bubble this time. I removed the adapter and attempted to flare the tube. There was no flare on the tube and the end of the tube was below the surface of the flaring bar. I removed the tube from the flaring bar and tried again. Same result. I found that the flare bar was no longer holding the tube in place. It turns out that the stainless steel tubing has worn down the threads that hold the tubing in place. This tool will not work more than once on stainless steel.
