Review on 🔨 STANLEY Plumb Bob, 16-Oz (47-974) - Brass Construction for Enhanced Durability by Trae Joubert

First of all I really don't understand how anyone can give this product less than 5 stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to do and has everything that it says on the description. In fact, it even came with a SECOND hardened steel tip! The one I received looks the same as the main picture, not the customer's picture. I'm guessing they may have made two slightly different shapes, but I don't care because I bought this tool to use as a plumb bob. My only disappointment is that the plumb bob I received was made in Taiwan. So if you're looking for US made tools, this probably isn't what you're looking for. It hangs perfectly vertically, and that's it. have to do. There is even a small picture on the packaging showing how to tie a nice knot in the rope to secure it. The top is opened, you pull the line through the hole, tie the visible knot and put the top back on. I think this 16 ounce lot is a lot better than the small 8 ounce lots that seem to be sold almost exclusively at most hardware/hardware stores. It hangs straight and settles down very quickly to do whatever you need a plumb bob to do. The only reason to get a heavier one is if you do a lot of large outdoor projects in high winds. In that case, you probably don't need a Revain review to tell you which solder to go for. ;^) If you need line I would recommend the Stringliner 24162 Pink Braided Line Pro Level Wiz Line Reel which comes with a comfortable spool and line scale and is made in the USA. If you're using a plumb bob, you probably have other reasons to have drying line [masonry cord] handy!
