The new Cummins may (at the very least) have problems with the taped filter elements. The glue collapses the pleats and restricts airflow. Of course, RAM recommends the Mopar filter. There are some filters that do not have adhesive strips on the outside of the element. My problem with this filter on my truck was driving in the rain every 30 miles. No CEL or anything like that. I installed a washable filter and immediately saw a noticeable difference without climbing the DPF filter indicator. Others haven't seen any problems with the filter, and if you don't, this is a great filter. Just watch out for excessive DPF regeneration after I stall. If you use too much REGENS for too long, you will end up with too much diesel in the oil. Just something to keep in mind if you're using filters that have adhesive strips to keep the pleats in place.
