Review on πŸ“· eufy Security Solo IndoorCam C24: 2K Wi-Fi Indoor Camera with AI, Night Vision & Two-Way Audio by Jose Cox

Decent, but there are some software glitches.

A good quality camera that combined with my Nest camera showed excellent human alertness which was my main concern. I was currently pointing at the window and the performance was pretty good for the price. Pros: - Decent video quality - Micro SD/RTSP cards compatible - Fairly consistent AI detection - Decent app interface - Minimal latency - Homekit compatible for those in the Apple ecosystem Cons: - Camera stops continuous recording when internet connection is interrupted. This shouldn't be the case with something that writes locally to the SD card. - No 2FA: If someone has your username and password (they get leaked a lot, so use unique passwords) they can view your streams. - Awkward 24/7 recording review: If you want to implement 24/7 video timelines, the footage review feature should be copied from Nest's line of sight. As you scroll, you should get real-time snapshots of what you're looking at, with preview thumbnails of motion events below the timeline. If this feature were added, it could become a simple nest killer. - Good human recognition, but still room for improvement. The camera sends me people alerts much more reliably than the Nest iQ camera, but it still misses a few people in the camera's field of view. - Video quality software control: you have the option to toggle between 2k and 1080p, but since it's a home video kit compatible camera we should be able to toggle the FPS to 24 when we're in the 1080p change mode. I don't see this option and hope it gets added. - Programmatic view of the main screen: Since these are wired cameras, I would like to see the possibility to start the stream automatically when the application is opened. If you open the main camera list screen instead, you'll get a thumbnail of the last motion event and have to click the icon to actually load the camera stream. - Motion Zones: The camera doesn't always seem to consider motion zones and will warn you of activity outside of the specified zones
