I have a non-original subwoofer (12" JL Audio) and a Rockford Fosgate 500 watt amplifier. I used a line out converter to convert the head speaker output to a factory RCA amp to get the new Rocksford amp to send signals to the subwoofer unfortunately my new aftermarket head unit was generating static on top of the audio I thought this ground loop isolator might solve the problem isolate the power- and signal cable and use this device I'm not entirely sure if it completely fixed the problem because I remember static electricity happening intermittently before but it seems to have done something...it did for me didn't work just left it the same but i like to think it helps lol.
