Very happy with the two I ordered. Basic but exactly what I wanted and what I got. Cons: 1. The last link in the post assembly, closest to the top, has a big problem. I noticed this with both lamps that I received. The power cord in this context does not allow the assembly of the last section. There is no point in pulling the cable out of the base to tighten it. that does not work. Cable does not move. You need to forcefully squeeze the cord and pull the poles together. If you're not careful, you'll strip enough of the insulation from the cable and it will become bare wire - AND IT WILL CONTACT THE METAL DESK. Not good at all. Definitely risk of shock.2. A dim light when used as a reading lamp (that's what it's for, isn't it?) and close to your head creates very annoying glare right in your eyes. Strongly annoying. I solved the problem by putting dark colored tape on the casing, but it makes the lamp look broken and cheap. Instead, I can try painting the trim gray.
