My son just loves this kite- however it's like 2x his size, which I think he likes as a challenge when flying it.Beautiful dark purple color with black dots, makes this things look awesome.It's so big that my 8 yr old can't be seen while holding it and it has a tail attached that's easily 6ft longThe strings are durable and attached properly, so I don't foresee the strings popping out like some of those plastic kitesIt comes with the spool of string you use to fly the kiteIt's not one of those tiny sized ones- we actually need a big field to use it to get the full affects from it
