Good idea, but.: Electrical
I bought this to replace the original mold tired vinyl. Easy to install but made of thin plastic. Make sure the door is fully open before unplugging or storing the power cord. If you push or pull 10 gauge string through a small hole, the manhole cover will most likely snap.
