Step 1 is to wrap my mattress and box spring in these protective plastic bags and store them in a self propelled container for several months. The mattress and the box spring bed were easy to store in bags. My mattress is queen size with a mattress pad on both sides. It's 12 inches deep and the top of the bag was about 15 inches deep. The bags were large and could be sealed with clear packing tape. The size of the bags was perfect and there were no problems. Phase 2 is to remove the stored mattress and spring box from the storage case and bags after a few months. I will report on phase 2 soon. UPDATE for phase 2: mattress and spring block survived the move unscathed! They stayed dry, clean and completely intact during 850 miles of transportation and 6 weeks in a storage container. I highly recommend this product.
