In general, this product is not bad. I wanted a warm mist option so I just replaced it with our cold mist. My big problem is that the water doesn't spread/lift high enough. So our carpet just gets wet. This never happened with our old cheap humidifier. I'll probably use the old one again because we need it for our daughter's room and I can't soak the carpet. I've also tried getting it to release less water, but even on the lowest setting it's too much.
