This set is very useful! It comes in a box and you twist the "broomstick" pieces together. super easy. That's a good portion size. The shovel stands by itself. I haven't had much trouble sweeping sand under the shovel and I sweep sand a lot. The broom fits easily into the dustpan. The teeth on the shovel were a great idea. The teeth pull the hair out of the broom and I don't have to touch it. no shit I love it! The broom is a little on the small side as you would expect from a dustpan set. The broom bristles are softer than I would personally like, but good enough. The brooms are not as strong as the old wooden brooms, but they are good enough. I wouldn't use this broom to sweep the whole house. I will continue to use my fancy mop for this. This is great for quickly cleaning up a mess and sweeping up a pile after using my mop. You no longer have to get up on the floor to do this. The set is easy to leave in my laundry room or utility closet. Because it's on the side, I don't have to toss the shovel right away when I'm in a hurry. I have a crawling baby and this kit helped me a lot! I definitely recommend it. I should have gotten one sooner!
