Review on HILLFAIR Soft Premium Combed Cotton Thermal Blanket - King Size for Cozy Warmth, All-Season Bed Throw Blanket in Sand by Julie Morris

I recently received a king size white comforter and this is my first review before putting it on the bed. I agree with other reviewers that the comforter had a distinctly bad odor when opening the plastic cover, so I followed the directions and washed it separately in cold water. The smell disappeared after washing and I put it in the gas dryer. When it was dry, I removed four or five handfuls of pilling and fluff from the dryer trap. Wow! I examined the covers on my bed and found quite a few threads pulled out. When I took measurements, it wasn't the original 90 x 90 inches, but the width was reduced by 6 inches (now 84 inches). The duvet feels heavy and I wonder if it lives up to its "All Season" list during the hot summer months. I am going to find that out. After regular use of the duvet in summer and winter, I will give a second report. Right now I'm giving it two stars based on shrinkage, thread tension, and an "all year round" list.
