Almost Positive Bad Part

Bought to replace an igniter that appears to be failing and fires sporadically depending on the position of the ignition wire. I hooked up a new one, fairly easy install. You can hear the click that occurs when the detonator is about to detonate, but it never detonated. It's less reliable than the old detonator so I just plugged the old one back in. The wire on the new igniter is noticeably thinner, and I don't trust its quality.
