Decora Coax Wall Panel Insert was purchased to replace an identical insert that broke at the junction box connection. The structural strength and integrity of this simple element would be greatly enhanced if the baseplate were metal rather than flimsy plastic. Even the ridiculously easy installation of the wall plate cover was excruciating as the screws that matched the color of the wall plate were surprisingly difficult to screw into the molded plastic mounting points! Yes, it will work and look good; However, it will fail structurally if subjected to significant stress - be careful.
